PlayStation: Central Station

Central Station was a portal designed to work through the PS2 console using a broadband connection. Central Station gave information about game releases but its main aim was to be the hub of a network gaming community. As such you could join tournaments, invite friends and create your own personalised masks that became your online icon.

Though the portal was viewed through the PS2 console, the project was created using simple html browser technology. This made the experience closer to iTV than PS2, but we utilised the technology and produced a highly engaging solution. As Creative Director on the project I worked closely with the PS2 team and in-house with Mark Taplin, Dennis Christensen and Al Jeffs.
