CiG Expands Your Digital World

CANON iMAGE GATEWAY (CiG) is Canon's new web portal, with membership exclusive to purchasers of Canon digital cameras and camcorders.

New camera owners are provided 100 MB of free online space on which images can be uploaded. For UK customers, there is online ordering facility for home delivered prints in a range of sizes and print stocks (other countries to be online with this facility soon). Powershot and IXUS camera owners can also customise their camera from the site by upgrading their camera with cool icon, text and sound downloads.

Online orders for prints through CiG has exploded since it was launched in July, suggesting that even owners of a photo-printers don't always have time to make their own prints. A pan-European roll-out of the print ordering facility is currently underway.
